LBS Suite took part in the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) conference, held in Dublin from March 12 to 15, 2023.
Anna Kozubek, Senior Business Manager, and Bruno Geara, CEO of LBS, were on hand to present our TBMS (Translation Business Management System), which facilitates your workflow in an innovative way.
GALA events: What are these conferences about?
First and foremost, GALA conferences are annual events where you can learn, network, discover new trends and have fun.
This year, almost 500 participants attended GALA 2023 in Dublin, including language company directors and language industry professionals.
GALA 2023’s main theme
The main theme this year was to challenge some of our preconceived ideas and working methods.
As a company specializing in translation and localization management solutions, we were delighted to meet language industry professionals from all over the world to exchange ideas and knowledge.

Conference highlights:
Speakers at the GALA 2023 conference offered fascinating new perspectives on the future of the language industry.
Indeed, all the presentations covered a variety of topics. They ranged from the impact of artificial intelligence on translation to the importance of localization for international companies.
We particularly enjoyed the closing address by Marco Trombetti, CEO of Translated.
The central idea of his work is the historical relationship between humans and machines, including the relationship we will have in the future.
In his view, the role of humans in this relationship was (and always will be!) fundamental. It was a highly instructive speech.
And since LBS Suite is a TBMS that is constantly evolving, we have to adapt to the needs of the industries to which we belong.
To enable and keep pace with this evolution, it’s essential for us to think outside the box and innovate.
Fruitful exchanges with other industry professionals.
The Gala 2023 conference was an opportunity to meet many colleagues and potential partners from the language industry. We’ve exchanged with translation companies, language service providers, multilingual marketing agencies, and many others.
Discussions focused mainly on the latest market trends. But we also discussed best practices in project management and the challenges facing language industry professionals.

GALA 2023: Fun evenings at the conference in Dublin!
The GALA evenings were unforgettable moments of networking and discoveries.
We enjoyed the relaxed, festive atmosphere of the opening night. On-site, we sampled local specialties and listened to traditional Irish music.
The closing evening was an opportunity to celebrate the successes of the conference and say goodbye to old and new friends.
In addition to the conference, our team spent a special evening at the Merry Ploughboy Gastro Pub & Show in Dublin. People present sang, danced, and clapped, making for a highly entertaining moment. A real Irish atmosphere!
Not to mention the fact that Anna won a T-shirt after a performance by a traditional Irish band!

In conclusion, the Gala 2023 conference in Dublin was a memorable and extremely rewarding experience. We look forward to the next GALA conference in Valencia, as we continue to contribute to the future of our industry!
